I hate coming up with titles. They're evil and I tend to angst over them more than I really should, and even then tend to require help.

1. Water Quality Testing - This is my latest fic and it's also the only one where I've had a title before I had a proper fic. It's also painfully obvious, but I think it's an intriguing, draw-you-in type title. The water quality thing, btw, came up because I needed some sort of thread to connect all the little bits and pieces of information that popped in to my head. Plus, I figured it's something I know a fair bit about and could have fun technobabbling.

2. Golden Gateways - I had some cheezy variation of this, or maybe it was completely unrelated. Anyways, jerie fixed things (more than just the title) and came up with this one. She rocks!

3. Figures in the Sand - Odo and Kira are in a place where it's sandy and they're drawing lines and figuring each other out. Yes, it's a very subtle title, why do you ask?

4. Pleasantries - I don't remember where this one came from but it's like when you talk to someone in pleasantries and there's so much more going on than you're actually saying. That's the entire "plot" of this fic so it worked for me.

5. Mission Within - This is my remixed fic and the original was "Mission Beyond" so I wanted to work with that. In the case of the remix, though, it's much more an internal journey than the one that Bashir goes on in the original fic.

6. Another Glance - This is a bit of a play on something Miles says (or thinks?) at the end of the fic. Jerie was either very reassuring about this title or helped come up with it.

Looking back these all seem so obvious but they were really hard to figure out.
